These are books I've finished reading recently. The titles may or may not be for sale in Rocky's inventory. This page is less about selling and more about the books! (If the book is available at Rocky's, you'll be able to click on the title to get to the item in my store.
please feel free to leave comments either way! It's not book reviews as much as a spotlight on things I've enjoyed personally, a view into the dark recesses of the attic that is my brain. Let's talk about books!

The Girl Who Played With Fire. It was only after I began reading Stieg Larsson's "Fire" that I realized there was an order to the trilogy - "Tattoo", "Fire", then "Hornet's Nest". But ignorance is bliss, and I had already blissfully read about 400 pages before I realized that I'd dropped into the middle of Lisbeth Salander's sad, powerful, fascinating life. There are certain revelations in "Fire" that perhaps would've been more meaningful if I'd started with "Tattoo". But as a standalone read, "Fire" had me hooked from the beginning and kept me captivated until the last page. It will take a helluva novel to knock this out of my ever-changing Top Five Reads. Lisey's Story, by Stephen King. One of my favorite SK reads recently. A poignant story about commitment and eternal love, with some classic Stephen King touches thrown in to keep it from getting maudlin. A fast, enjoyable read. (Added 10/21/10)
